Over the last couple of decades we've learned more about the workings of the brain than in all of previous history
great progress has been made, including some surprising findings. Keeping in mind that science is constantly moving, and future findings could overturn or revise what we currently known. Here's an idea for you, you have to stop telling yourself that you have a bad memory. Research shows that although memory abilities can decline naturally with age, it's not always as inevitable or as bad as we may think. Furthermore, the expectation that they will makes this worse! Catch yourself next time you are about to say you have a terrible memory.
What is deja vu?
Sometimes you have the sensation that you've experienced something before.
The evidence:
Everyone agrees that this phenomenon exists, but there is less certainly as to what causes it. One theory is that the information is processed by your memory milliseconds before you become consciously aware of it. While information usually enters your short- term memory first, deja vu could be the rare occasion when information somehow jumps straight into your long- term memory instead.
Advice:
Wonder at the mystery of your mind and remember that there are still many things we don't have to fully understand about memory!
